Installation/Service Technician

Garage Door Brokers is seeking an installation/service technician to join our growing team. Based in Joplin, MO, we are a local company that provides our customers with high-quality door products and services. Our team members have an opportunity to practice their trade skills and grow in a family-oriented company.

Job Summary

The Installation/Service Technician will work with residential and commercial customers to ensure that all jobs are completed to our quality standards. The technician will need to be customer service-driven, have excellent communication skills, and be able to keep up with daily paperwork, such as invoicing, estimating, and scheduling.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Experience installing and servicing doors (rolling steel, sectional, high speed, man doors)

• Familiar with garage door openers and gate openers

• Comfortable working at heights using ladders and lifts

• Basic framing and electrical experience

• Experience with acetylene torch

• Welding skills preferred

• Willingness to work outdoors and adapt to varying weather conditions

• Demonstrate a good work ethic and attitude

• Strong problem-solving abilities

• Willing to travel for out-of-town service/installation

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED

• 2 or more years’ experience with doors or similar construction

• Clean driving record

HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT

• This employee shall maintain regular hours Monday through Friday (up to 40 hours/week). Schedule may require some evening or weekend work with notice from the supervisor.

Compensation

• Salary range: $35,000- $45,000

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and tools.
Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights, and in various weather conditions.
Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders for extended periods.
