Modoc Nation offers a variety of educational services to our members. We offer IEP/504 support consultation and support, mentoring, as well as post-secondary scholarships.

Support for Educational Assistance: Special Needs Students

If your enrolled child has a disability that requires an Individual Education Plan (IEP) or a 504 Plan, you may be eligible for reimbursement of services/equipment deemed as necessary educational supports paid for by the parent/guardian.

Developmental Delay Assistance

If your child (aged 1 month – 18 years) does not have an IEP but has a physician-diagnosed developmental disability you may be eligible for funding. Click “learn more” for application and details.

Modoc Scholarships

  • Bachelor’s level students scholarship $9,500 per semester for 8 semesters
  • Graduate level student scholarships $7,500 per semester for 4 semesters
  • PhD program or J.D scholarship $7,500 per semester for 6 semesters
  • Medical Doctors Program $7,500 per semester for 8 semesters
  • Vocational Technical Trade Program $6000 per semester

Graduation Stoles

Modoc Nation is proud to offer our graduating citizens a keepsake for their educational accomplishment.  

The Modoc Nation Graduation Stole provides the graduate with an opportunity to honor their heritage and display their tribal pride.  In addition, the Modoc Nation is proud to offer graduating citizens a keepsake for their educational accomplishments.

Modoc Nation Tribal Citizens may request graduation stoles for their high school, college and graduate level graduations.

Guidelines:

•Must be a citizen of the Modoc Nation

•The student must be graduating within the school year application is completed.

•The student must complete the application.

•The student must submit a verification letter from their school stating: student name; school name; and date of graduation ceremony.

Official letter from school district, college/tech school stating that you will be graduating upon completion of the semester, pending grades/hours completed
