EDUCATION SERVICES

Modoc Nation offers a variety of educational services to our members. We offer IEP/504 support consultation and support, mentoring, as well as post-secondary scholarships. If you need other assistance not listed, please contact us to see what we can do to help. Graduation stoles will be available for high school and college graduates. Please email or call for more information.

GRADUATION STOLES

Modoc Nation is proud to offer our graduating citizens a keepsake for their educational accomplishment.  

The Modoc Nation Graduation Stole provides the graduate with an opportunity to honor their heritage and display their tribal pride.  In addition, the Modoc Nation is proud to offer graduating citizens a keepsake for their educational accomplishments.

Modoc Nation Tribal Citizens may request graduation stoles for their high school, college and graduate level graduations.

Guidelines:

•Must be a citizen of the Modoc Nation

•The student must be graduating within the school year application is completed.

•The student must complete the application.

•The student must submit a verification letter from their school stating: student name; school name; and date of graduation ceremony. 

SPECIAL NEEDS SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

If your enrolled child has a disability that requires an Individual Education Plan (IEP) or a 504 Plan, you may be eligible for reimbursement of services/equipment deemed as necessary educational supports paid for by the parent/guardian. Click “learn more” for application and details.

EDUCATIONAL NEEDS SURVEY

Modoc Nation is trying to be proactive and anticipate issues that may arise during this time of change and unknowing. We understand that every state and even county has different policies for dealing with the effects of COVID19. We would like to gather input on what methods are being used to educate your children and what supports you feel may be needed based on your experiences during the end of the 2019/2020 school year after schools went virtual. It is well known that students learn in different ways and with different methods, online works for some and doesn’t for others, or they may just need some face-to-face support to supplement. Please complete this survey regarding your Kindergarten to 12th grade student(s) to help us serve our members better:

Modoc Nation Tribal Citizens may request graduation stoles for their high school, college and graduate level graduations.

Copy of Tribal Identification Card
Official letter from school district, college/tech school stating that you will be graduating upon completion of the semester, pending grades/hours completed
*Please allow 30 days to process and mail graduation stole
