Position Summary:

The Resource Center Assistant supports teachers, providers, and visitors by managing daily operations at the Resource Center, providing administrative support, maintaining a welcoming environment, and assisting in the planning of educational activities and events related to early childhood education.

Responsibilities

Assist teachers and providers with equipment use within the Resource Center.

Answer and direct incoming telephone calls professionally.

Monitor office supplies and postage, placing reorders as needed.

Provide information about Resource Center services to callers and visitors.

Greet all visitors warmly and professionally upon arrival.

Perform general administrative and clerical duties, including preparing letters, memos,reports, and other program-related documents.

Keep the Resource Center tidy, organized, and well-maintained.

Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.

Attend ongoing training sessions to stay current with Early Childhood Education bestpractices.

Participate in occasional off-site training (travel and overnight stays may be required).

Assist the Resource Manager with planning, ordering, and managing supplies andeducational resources for teachers and providers.

Support the development of lesson plans, activities, and early childhood educationalmaterials.

Help coordinate educational activities at the Educational Nature Center.

Assist in planning and organizing events, trainings, and meetings.

Deliver supplies and resources to childcare providers as needed.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, or equivalentprofessional experience.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in childcare, early education, or a related field.

Compensation

$17.00 per hour

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and tools.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights, and in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders for extended periods.
