Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair work, executing new electrical construction projects, installing and servicing generators, and conducting installation and maintenance repairs. The candidate should also be willing to pursue additional certifications as requiredW

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine electrical maintenance and repair in commercial settings.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures.
  • Conduct new electrical construction projects from start to finish, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with code and safety standards.
  • Install and service backup generators to ensure reliable performance and adherence to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Perform testing and diagnostics to identify electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with contractors, project managers, and team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of completed work, materials used, and time spent on projects.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and best practices.
  • Commit to obtaining necessary certifications to expand skill set and meet project needs.

Qualifications

  • Valid Journeyman Electrician license.
  • Proven experience in commercial electrical work, including maintenance, repair, and construction.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and problem-solving electrical issues.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to pursue additional certifications as required.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with generator installation and maintenance.
  • Certification in relevant electrical specialties or willingness to obtain certifications.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and tools.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights, and in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders for extended periods.

Compensation

  • $20 – $30 per hour depending on experience
