Modoc Nation offers a variety of services to our members. 

Elderly Energy Allowance

•For eligible Modoc members ages 55 years and older to assist with the cost of heating and air. 

•Assistance provided to member 2x’s per year (Winter & Summer)

Cemetary & Burial Assistance

•$10,000 to assist with funeral costs and associated expenditures (cremation, headstone, etc.)

•Free burial plot for member and spouse

Child & Family Services

The Modoc Nation CCDF program is a federally funded child care subsidy program that assists working families or families seeking higher education through child care financial assistance while promoting children’s learning by improving the quality of early care and education and after school programs. Our main purpose is to provide childcare subsidy for Native children in our service area through direct services as well as through sponsored grants.

Eyeglasses & Hearing Aids

Tribal members are eligible for assistance with eyeglasses and hearing aids. 

2024 Work Shoe Reimbursement

  • One pair of shoes – up to $150
  • Available to actively employed tribal members to purchase shoes appropriate for their job

Child Support Services

•Free tribal child support Enforcement Services, including paternity testing

•Assistance with Court Orders and Enforcement for Child Support

Family Preservation

The Purpose of the Family Preservation Program is to:

•Assist parents so that they are alleviated of stress by removing financial barriers to providing adequate education and health services to Indian children of our Tribal Community. (Health Services can include, dental, vision, sports exams, etc.)

•To provide families with the ability to cope with the problems of daily living, and to preserve or restore their social, emotional or economic well-being providing for future tribal generations a more stable foundation.

 

•Applications will be released as funding becomes available.
