Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychoeducation & life-skills development sessions (individual & group) to assigned clients on emotion regulation, coping strategies, healthy communication, social skills, animal welfare, ecological considerations, etc.
  • Co-facilitate animal-assisted, nature-based, and/or ropes course interventions alongside L/BHP for individual, group, & family psychotherapy sessions.
  • Facilitate learning & personal growth activities in the natural setting, with the inclusion of large & small farm animals. Some activities may be facilitated in the school or community-based settings.
  • Provide case management (referrals, advocacy, & linkage) & life skills development to meet the identified needs of the client’s treatment plan.
  • Provide education & outreach to community partners on substance abuse & suicide prevention.
  • Form relationships with community-based programs to address client/community needs.
  • Participate & represent MNBH at community outreach events as assigned.
  • Provide transportation to clients in personal vehicle, when needed. Operate 14 passenger transport van.
  • Collaborate with MNBH grant team & consultants to record required data.
  • Complete assigned chores.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA & other confidentiality regulations in all aspects of job duties.
  • Staff & support outreach activities as required.
  • Attend All – Staff meetings & all other meetings as required.
  • All other duties as assigned.

qualifications:

  • Required minimum of 5 years experience working with equines & knowledgeable about farm animals.
  • Preferred minimum of 3 years experience in behavioral health or related field.
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field.
  • Upon hire, must obtain Equine Specialist in Mental Health & Learning certification with PATH, Intl. & the ODMHSAS Case Manager certification.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening & background check.
  • Must provide documentation of covid vaccination status or request exemption based on qualifying factors.

Ability to Relocate:

  • Miami, OK: Relocate before starting work (required)
